Greer Steel Brings Braner CTL On Line
Greer Steel has completed the installation of a new CTL line at the company's Dover, Ohio facility. Company officials say the new system will provide customers with material that is flatter and, subsequently, will provide greater productivity.
The newly installed high-speed line from Braner USA features a 17-roll flattener with a backer assembly and is capable of processing 72"cold rolled coils up to 30,000 lb x 30" wide in gauges up from .025 to .220.
Greer's Marketing Vice President, Bob Friend says the new CTL line means increased benefits for Greer customers and underscore's the company's long-term commitment to its customers. "This new equipment provides added performance in terms of flatness control and gauge range. Our customers are going to get material that will run more efficiently on their lines and therefore, they can expect to see increases in parts per pound and in overall productivity."
According to Friend, the speed and reliability of the new line is also expected to reduce lead times and improve customer service and satisfaction.
